The Hijabista Girls Workshop is a live, in-person experience for girls ages 8–13, hosted by local communities. It’s designed to be engaging, memorable, and genuinely enjoyable — the kind of experience girls talk about long after the day is over.

This workshop is not a condensed version of the Hijabista Girls Program. Instead, it offers a thoughtful introduction — a glimpse into the heart of the work — where girls can explore hijab in a relaxed, supportive environment. Through interactive discussions and hands-on activities, girls are encouraged to ask questions, share thoughts, and feel heard.

What makes this workshop special is the atmosphere. I show up as myself — upbeat, playful, and fully present — creating a space that feels more like time spent with a caring, fun big sister than a formal lecture. Laughter is welcome. Curiosity is encouraged. We even kick things off with an energized chant to hype the girls up and help them feel comfortable, connected, and excited from the very start.

Every part of the experience is intentional, especially at an age where girls are like a blank page — open, eager, and ready to learn. Small moments, positive interactions, and how they feel in the room all shape how hijab is remembered and understood.

I truly love meeting girls from different communities and backgrounds. Each group brings its own energy, stories, and questions, and that’s what makes every workshop feel meaningful. My goal is for girls to leave feeling lighter, more confident, and more at ease with their relationship to hijab.
