I really enjoy and appreciate the Hijabista class. It’s very fun and helpful. I have learned a lot of interesting stuff from tant Samia’s class that are very useful. Things I really like about this class are the free fun days like pajama days and I also liked the sewing part and much more. Tant Samia has taught me and the other Hijabista girls a lot of very useful strategies. One skill that I learned was from the sewing part which will make shopping easier when you need to wear something that goes with the hijab. Tant Samia taught us how to fix the problem in the clothes with sewing. That is very useful. I will use that strategy. Thank you very much for the class and for being a wonderful and encouraging teacher!

The Hijabista Girls program was great! At first, I was skeptical about joining the program, but I had a friend who said it was wonderful, and it was. For the two years I’ve been in the program, Sister Samia and the mentors have covered many topics from handling difficult situations to important Islamic values. The program has also helped me feel more comfortable in my hijab. Over the summer, we did a 20-day challenge, where you wear a scarf 20 times. This experience allowed me to feel less self-conscious about it, and after a while, I forgot it was there. I still wear it occasionally to this day and plan to start full-time in 7th-grade inn sha Allah. We also had fun days where we pick what we want to do. We’ve had a pajama day and went to the pool. Overall, I would recommend the program to anyone interested. The teaching style is so fun: we learned about our religion, had a great time, and I became more comfortable with wearing my hijab

Sister Samia and her wonderfully chosen mentors created a positive and nurturing environment where each child could openly express their questions about the future and could have them answered from a religious standpoint. The current generation of high schoolers had the opportunity to share the vital lessons they have taken throughout their life with the next as part of this unique program. I believe that this rare opportunity for middle and elementary school students to learn the important Islamic life lessons as they grow older is one that should be taken advantage of and I would highly recommend this program to anyone interested."
